Using the Index

Blackcurrants:

Where possible the cultivars have been allocated to the four following groups: Baldwin, Boskoop, French or Goliath.

Red currants

A short list of seedlings or unnamed seedlings follows the main list. Where the raiser or discoverer has not given the cultivar a name, it is recorded under the name of the sender, followed by a number, e.g. Eglington 1.

Key to Abbreviations

The abbreviations EM and LA denote cultivars received from East Malling and Long Ashton Research Stations, respectively.
