Introduction to the Ornamentals Collection

I. Ornamental Malus

The Collection was re-propagated and established in spring 1993. The 73 varieties currently cover 0.21 hectares. The taxonomic nomenclature of this collection is currently under review. Therefore, the nomenclature detailed in this catalogue may not be accurate.

II. Ornamental Prunus

There are 46 ornamental species, hybrids and varieties grafted on Colt rootstock. A spacing of 4 m x 2.5 m has been used and the Collection covers 0.08 hectares. Additional accessions are located on the concrete road (CR).

III. Ornamental Pyrus

Two ornamental Pyrus species have been planted along the main concrete road (CR).
